Founded in 1939 the Corpus Christi Municipal Marina is the focal point of our city. It is on Corpus Christi Bay protected from the Gulf of Mexico by sandy barrier islands off the Texas Coast. Proud of its enhancements to the Bayfront, the Marina invites you to enjoy the amenities and services it provides. Set your anchor and welcome aboard the Corpus Christi Municipal Marina.
Our Mission:
To provide commercial opportunities and recreational safe boating environment and to offer a full service marina for the enjoyment of visitors and the community.
Awards:
2001- The Marina of the Year for the State of Texas by the Marina Association for the State of Texas
2001- The Corpus Christi Municipal Marina was the first “Clean Marina” designated iin the State of Texas.
2003- In partnership with Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, OSPRA Award – Excellence in Oil Spill Preparedness, Prevention and Response, by the Texas General Land Office
2006- Boating Infrastructure Grant for $850,000 awarded by the US Fishing and Wildlife Department
2007- The First Texas International Boat Show arrives, over 45,000 people attended the event in its inaugural year.
2007- Marina completed its $7 Million expansion on the People’s Street T-Head, building state of the art, floating boat slips with built in vacuum waste sewage to accomodate yachts up to 150 feet in length.
2009- The Marina of the Year for the State of Texas by the Marina Association for the State of Texas
2009- The National Award for Clean Marina by the Boating Industry
2009- The State of Texas Clean Marina Award
2011- National Marina Manufacturers Association designates Corpus Christi as one of the “Ten Hot Spots Marina in the United States”

And now, with effect from July 2011 the Marina has been hosting Marina Market Days on the Lawrence Street T-Head each first Saturday of every month. This is the Saturday anchor event of the Corpus Christi First Initiative and has proved to be a successful and popular addition to the “first weekend” in Corpus Christi.
Marina Market Days regularly attracts a crowd of 3500 – 5000 with a broad selection of vendors numbering over 100 each month.
The local community, boaters and visitors can enjoy live music, arts, crafts and food at this new waterfront festival with vendors and artists encouraged to share their talents and creative work. We hope to make this event as successful and well attended as the annual International Boat Show.
Parking is available on street and on the T-Head and the Dtown tram operates a free shuttle service between the bus stop at People’s Street T-Head and the market on Lawrence Street T-Head.
