A weekend of fun for the entire family on the “1st” weekend of every month!
Great events are taking place in Corpus Christi on any given day and thanks to both community support and collaboration, Corpus Christi, is excited to bring visitors and residents a cultural experience all can enjoy on the “1st weekend” of the month. Traditionally, Corpus Christi, features the love of art to the Downtown area with Corpus Christi Artwalk on the first Friday of every month. The popularity of the monthly event has drawn interest from a variety of residents and visitors who were looking for other “firsts” to take place throughout the weekend. After much research and planning, the Corpus Christi Marina has begun to host “Marina Market Days” a year-round event to be hosted on the Lawrence Street T-Head on the first Saturday of the month. And now, walking enthusiasts who enjoy the spectacular view from the Harbor Bridge can now meet on the first Sunday of each month for an organized walk over the Harbor Bridge. The bridge will only be open for walking during this designated event until maintenance is complete.

Downtown ArtWalk
Usually “First Friday” brings ArtWalk from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. beginning at La Retama Park. (Please note that there is no ArtWalk on October 7th as we had to reschedule to September 30th as part of the Corpus Christi First Initiative – this does not happen again until September 2012.) The Downtown Management District (DMD) brings together 18 Galleries and Museums, 50 plus businesses, plus a chance to win free art, mixed in with talented artists, music and refreshments. Ride the DTown tram (free) with on-board entertainment to experience the true spirit of ArtWalk or take the RTA Art Walk Express to see the artistic influences beyond the central downtown area. Marina Market Days
“First Saturday”brings something new to Corpus Christi, “Marina Market Days”. Hosted on the Lawrence Street T-Head, this is the only market days on the water in Texas! 100 plus unique vendors featuring pottery, jewelry, outdoor furniture, clothing, food and restaurants are participating from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and it’s FREE!
BridgeWalk
Begin your “first” Sunday morning with a stroll across the Harbor Bridge! For the avid walker or adventurous walker, in a time frame of 30 to 45 minutes you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views in Corpus Christi at the height of the Harbor Bridge. Walkers are encouraged to bring their camera for this picturesque opportunity.
